Once we have a good idea of what the new

THE VERDICT
The CZ-75 Kadet .22 LR conversion
kit is a well designed, well made unit
that gives the CZ-75 owner “two guns

easily the equal of any .22 LR pistol

must-have for any CZ-75 fan.

The Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show is the big event on the firearms industry calendar. SHOT Show
is a massive display of this multi-billion dollar industry’s best equipment and brightest ideas. Each year it draws
progressively bigger crowds, with the recently concluded show bringing more than 67,000 people to the Sands
Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.
It also marked a landmark for GunUp the Magazine. This was the second SHOT for the magazine, and my seventh
SHOT. For the first time, I spent less time on the floor than I did in meetings, talking to our advertisers and clients.
GunUp the Magazine started as a crazy idea: “What if we start a magazine?” At SHOT in 2013 we pitched the
magazine to existing clients of our successful ad network; we fought tooth and nail to bring you this book each
month of 2013. Fast forward to a year later, and we’re sitting on top of 50,000 monthly readers, a sweet mobile
app, and a brand that represents quality production and content.
It’s been a pretty radical ride, and I can’t wait to see what happens in 2014.
