It seems to me that the values and morals of an individual is the most
important aspect that shows love and respect for self, fellow men, and his
country. In other word Its supremacy of good over evil and exhibiting equality
of all people.

2. According to Jacinto, who was qualified to join the secret society?

An individual that shows loyalty to his country and the way it is
performed was through sanduguan or blood compact, where they sign their
name with their own blood. As well as the enlistment by the use of "triangle
system". whereas the recruiter recruits two members to join and these
members won't know each other's name.
3. What are the main reasons behind the declaration of independence?
Aguinaldo believed that it was necessary to declare the independence of
the philippines. When the government operated at that time he thought that the
people would be inspired to fight against spaniard colonizers. Also, for the
foreign countries to acknowledge the independence of the country.

4. What are the highlights of the declaration?

The highlights of the declaration are as follows (1) A characterization of

the conditions of the Philippines during the Spanish colonial period in the
document. (2) A brief historical overview of the Spanish occupation in the
Philippines. (3) The unjust execution of Rizal. (4) The Cavite Mutiny of January
1872 that caused the infamous execution of the martyred native priests Jose
Burgos, Mariano Gomez, and Jacinto Zamora. and (5) The established republic
that will eventually led under the dictatorship of Emilio Aguinaldo.
5. . What seemed to be common among the political caricatures shown?

I noticed that they have in common when it comes to exaggerating

human expressions and behind every caricature or art which shows ideas and
delivers a message in political matters and society at that time.

6. What does the author want to convey in these political caricatures?

It seems to me that it informs whoever sees the picture the situation of

that time and injustices of someone especially to those who desire power and
superiority as well as humiliation towards one another.

I learned that
How significant the topics are for a better understanding of the information
about the history of the Philippines focused in this lesson. Since these are the
important documents that serve as the evidence in the past. Generally speaking, I
learned about the events occured from the accidental arrival of the Spaniards to the
time of former president Corazon Aquino. Likewise, the highlights and analysis for
every topic and their purposes.
I realized that
As of now, I only have a little knowledge when it comes to history, specifically
in Philippine history. Though beyond that, I also realized how hard it would be like to
be there. Despite of the situation the people have experienced at that time, their will
to have a freedom and fight back against the dominance of the colonizers for their
rights. Not only that but also it catches my interest even more to learn about the
remarkable events that happened in early times in our own country, as well as the
significance of contributions of known people and their works.
I intend to
Share the knowledge and interpretations that I have acquired on this topic to
others to give awareness to others and to further develop my understanding. As what
I've already stated from the previous activities, I believe that's what someone would
intentionally do on their learnings. Besides, the concepts are well discussed. When it
comes to primary sources, I might as well adapt the things I realize, for instance,
