It is unquestionable that the future of
society lies on the contribution, collaboration,
cooperation and commitment of every member of
the community.
We should implement the Republic Act
9003 also known as the Ecological Solid Waste
Management Act of 2000. This act simply ensures
the proper segregation, collection, transport,
storage and disposal of solid waste in the
community. Collected plastic bottles can be
repurposed into life saving boats and distribute it
to flood prone areas in the community.

Nowadays, environmental issues like
pollution, deforestation, global warming and
climate change put our country more at risk to the
wrath of Mother Nature leading to unthinkable
consequences.
As 21st century Earth warriors, we must
reignite our eagerness and passion and use our
innovativeness and creativity collaboratively to
create a future we aspire for.
Responsive members of the community
should practice and implement the 5s, Refuse,
reduce, reuse, repurpose and recycle in their own
home.
As members of school community, we can
be active members of the youth for the
environment in schools organization (YES-O) and
implement projects and programs to preserve and
conserve our natural resources by converting
plastic bottles into beautiful and colorful garden
pots. Refuse single use of plastic cups during break
time, instead, we can use our tumblers.
Every members of the community can also
participate in tree planting activities. Trees can
lessen the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere,
lessening the effect of climate change and flooding.
We can also participate in barangay clean up drive
for it will not only make our environment clean and
green but it can also prevent diseases like dengue,
malaria, Japanese encephalitis, and leptospirosis.
Reinventing the future does not only rely on
a single person, all members of the community
should work hand in hand towards achieving the
future we dreamed of. As the late Earth warrior
Gina Lopez said “As long as people care enough,
love enough and work together, our country will
have the future we aspire for”.

During science class, we can come up with

discoveries that can help Mother Earth regain her
beauty. We can create Bio-plastics, a plastic made
from wood. These bio-plastics can improve the
performance of bio-based and biodegradable
packaging, which can guarantee the required shelf
life of food products. We can also invent plastic
eating enzymes. These enzymes will breakdown
plastic straws, cups and bottles, and these enzymes
will enable full recycling of plastics. We can also
create shampoo pods made from sugarcane casing
