the best invention in my opinion: the refrigerator
Nowadays it is very easy to preserve food, thanks to whoever invented the refrigerator
or ice cream maker, but it has not always been like this. In ancient times, keeping food
fresh and in good condition was a problem that was difficult to solve. William Cullen in
1750 was the one who presented the first refrigerator in the world, called the cold bag;
made with artificial materials. It was a great advance for what a century later would
come close to what we have today. In the early 1800s, Thomas Moore, who was the
inventor of the home refrigerator or ice cellar, inspired Oliver Evans in 1804 to take the
first steps in the evolution of the refrigerator.
This appliance was perfected in 1844 by John Gorrie, who needed persistent cold to
lower the temperature of his yellow fever patients. The first refrigerator was created in
1834, by Jacob Perkins. The last details were given by Carl Von Linder in 1876, helping
to conclude the refrigerator that is used daily today. In the same way, he managed to
make it mass-produced. Not only that, but he is also currently the one who has the
patent for the invention of the refrigerator.
Some of the advantages we have of having this appliance today are
 It has the function of keeping fresh and cold storage, which can put both meat
and fresh fruits and vegetables.
 It is safe stratified or refrigerated box, which is the pipeline.
 Open and close the door, the cooling air loss is relatively less and energy saving.
The refrigerator plays a prominent role in the kitchen as it allows food to be kept at a
temperature that delays the development of microorganisms. The consumer depends
on it to safely store all perishable foods until they are eaten. Although it is not always
considered, its use is closely related to food safety, hence the importance of keeping it
in optimal conditions so that the products stored in it do not spoil.
