Testing Cosmetics on Animals is inhumane

Testing Cosmetics on animals is something that shouldn’t be accepted in any country.

Using animals to make experiments could be very risky and could put their lives at risk. Many

researchers think that testing cosmetics on animals shouldn’t be accepted because sometimes

those products could be harmful. Instead, Researchers feel that instead of testing cosmetics on

animals scientists should try different methods of testing cosmetics without using animals.

Using animals to test products should be banned in all countries and instead, scientists should try

other methods that don’t relate to animals. Animals testing should be banned in all countries

because the current tests are inhumane and put the animals’ lives at risk, there are other, safer

methods to test products, and customers are now starting to become more interested in products

that are cruelty-free.

The safest methods to test cosmetics

To start off, Using animals to test cosmetics can really put at risk their life since some of

the products could be very toxic. Instead many scientists should try and focus on safety

assessments that don’t have to do with any animals. As a matter of fact, there are many ways on

how cosmetics can be tested. For instance, according to the article “safety assessments of

cosmetics by red across applied to metabolomics data of vitro skin and liver models” it
Reyes 2

mentioned that there is alot of non- animal testing methods that can be used instead of using

animals.

As a matter of fact, the article mentioned that in Europe they decided to test different

methods using many chemicals (Jaques et al. 3304). It also mentioned how in Europe they tested

different chemicals and they decided to make a red cross document where it mentioned the types

of chemicals they tested. One specific method they mentioned was vitro methods.

(Mainly what I want to talk about in my first paragraph is explain the different types of

methods scientists can use. I feel that there is a lot of methods that are non- animal tested. After

explaining the different methods that scientists can use I want to explain how these methods are

very beneficial when it comes to cosmetics testing on animals. I also want to explain the kinds of

chemicals are used in each method and what are the results of it. In other words, how did it

reacted.

Is the article “Safety assessment of cosmetics by read across applied to metabolomics data of in

vitro skin and liver models” good for this essay. Like can I get good information related to the

methods, chemicals, and non animal testing).

Back then and the testing cosmetics on animals

( I also want to talk about how back then many years ago scientist wouldn’t care about risking

animals, I want to include an article where it mentions how animals (rabbits) were hurt because

they where used harshly when making a cosmetic testing experiment) I feel I would like to add

this information because I feel that I can explain how harshly “we” have been with the animals

and how it has evolved that now in many places they have decided to ban- animal testing.) I feel

that using this article where can back up my information where I state that testing cosmetics on

animals can be inmoral.)

The banning of testing cosmetics on animals

(After mentioning how scientists would treat animals back than I would like to mentioned in

another paragraph the reasons why in many countries that have decided to ban cosmetic- testing

on animals) In addition to this, over the years some of the countries decided to ban the testing

cosmetics on animals. One of the countries that decided to ban the testing cosmetics on animals

was on United Kingdom and other members of states from the European Union in the year 2013

(Stefane and Said 2). ( Make sure I did in- text citations correctly) On the other hand, according

to the article “Bioethics: a look at animal testing in medicine and cosmetics in the UK” it

mentioned that another countries in the year 2010 like United Sates and China still test

cosmetics on animals which is really bad. Since it mentioned that about 50- 100 million animals

that are being tested on cosmetics which 1.37 million ( Stefane and Said 2).

People decided to buy products that are not animal tested

( Here I would like to mentioned about the marketing each store has on how many stores they

sell more products that are not animal tested).

In conclusion, It is astonishing how back then scientists would not care and would do

many experiments with animals which would affect them. As a matter of fact, Testing cosmetics

on animals could be harmful and could risk their lifes. Instead researchers and scientists should

find another types of methods that do not have to do with animals. They should also try to avoid

and all cosmetics that are animal tested on stores and all the countries. In other words, they

should start banning all of this cosmetics .
