Reflection Essay 3

Writing the last essay for English 1302 was really interesting and fun. I feel that this

essay was much easier because I was able to use the same topic from my previous essay. I also

felt that since I already had made more research on this topic I was able to know more about

what I was going to write about.

To begin with, when I was working on my introduction I felt a little more confident

because I knew what side I was going to choose and what points I was going to talk about in my

essay. One of the things that I did think was difficult to do was the thesis statement because It

was hard for me to word my points into a good sentence that was clear and straight to the point.

I feel that something that really helped with my thesis statement was asking for advice from Mrs.

Sonya because she helped me put my thoughts into order and then made them into a good strong

sentence that would summarize everything that I was going to write about in my essay. I feel that

after getting some help from her all my ideas were put together and that helped me organize my

whole essay such as organizing my subheadings in order and organizing each paragraph with the

correct information.

As a matter of fact, writing my body paragraphs was much easier to do because I knew

what each section was going to be about because I was guided by my subheadings. Although

something I think it was difficult to do was wording the sentences into good paragraphs

specifically in the section “The Safest Methods to Test Cosmetics.” I feel that it was harder for

me to figure out what methods to choose and which ones were much easier to explain. I also

think that this section was hard to write because I couldn’t find that much information about the

type of methods. I think that section was the only one where I was having trouble with my whole

essay. In fact, I think that it was much easier for me to find more information in all the other

sections because all my articles would mention at least something about my other subheadings.

On the other hand, some of the Articles that I had, would explain the methods in a complicated

way that I wouldn’t understand what they were talking about.

In conclusion, it was a pleasure for me to do the third and last essay for English 1302

because I feel it was really informative. I feel that doing this essay made me think more about

animals’ lives and how we should take care of them. I also think this essay was helpful for me

because I feel that I am more aware of which cosmetics are animal tested and which ones are not.

In other words, I feel that by knowing this I get to save other animals' lives because I will

obviously purchase a product that is non-animal tested.
