LISTENING UNIT 9:

Matt: Would you like to come to my basketball class, Emma?

Emma: Next Tuesday?

Matt: Actually, it's Wednesday. I know you're busy on Thursdays.

Emma: Yes, I might try one class. How much is it?

Matt: For a single class it’s 15 pounds or you can book five classes for 50 pounds. That's 10
pounds a class.

Emma: Where's the teacher from?

Matt: Mexico. He came to England last year because his wife is from Scotland.

Emma: Right. Where’s the the basketball center?

Matt: Do you know the swimming pool? The one next to the cinema in Green Street?

Emma: Yes, I go to that pool all the time.

Matt: Well, the center's not far from the pool. It's next to the library on the left.

Emma: That's near my house.

Matt: I know!

Emma: What do I have to wear?

Matt: No special clothes really- I play in shorts and a T shirt, but you must have trainers to play
in the hall.

Emma: Okay, how do I join the class? Do I have to log on to the website?

Matt: I don't think there is a website. All you have to give the teacher is a letter from your
parents, but you don't have to fill in a form.

Emma: Great. See you next week.
