Introduction
01 Introduce about the company

Our company is a company specializing in providing laptops with products that are
thoroughly tested before being put on the market and are guaranteed to be genuine
products. In addition, we also cooperate with many famous brands: Asus, Dell, Acer.
Our company has all services such as import and export warehouse and sales.
The process of selling laptops

Our company's sales process begins with employees

entering customer information to order products from the
company. After that, the manager will save the customer
information and send the invoice to the customer.
Customers can pay in two ways: full payment or installment
payment. If the user chooses to pay in installments, the
installment payment method will be chosen (for example, a
percentage of monthly salary). The information will be
transferred to the staff after the manager completes the
payment procedure with the customer, so that the staff can
deliver the goods to the customer.

the partner's warehouse

import and send it to the partner by email. The partner
checks the email and confirm the order. They take request

parcel from the partner, we check the product is correct or
not. If some product is not ok, the partner needs to resend
the parcel in request. We need to testing the product in a
week. If a product occurs a bug, the partner has to fix it.
After testing, all product is good, we pay the bill in delivery.

will pay the bill and take the parcel. If they transport fail, the
shipper must transport the parcel to customer again in
several times. If the customer resists the parcel, it will return

Unstructured data

Unstructured data is information that does not have a pre-determined

organizational structure or format. Unstructured data, in other terms, is
any data that is not structured or semi-structured. This might be data in
any file type that doesn't fit well into a spreadsheet or other semi-
structured data format.

Ex: Unstructured data is used

here because this is just an
invoice, these are the
unstructured indexes required.
Semi-structured data

Data that is semi-structured has some level of organization. It's not as well-
organized as structured data, but it's also not as chaotic as unstructured data.
Tags or other components with defined attributes that bring a hierarchy and
system into a file are commonly used to accomplish this level of structure.

Ex: The customer list that the

employee entered is not in the
database yet, but it organizes and
distributes important information
for management to easily analyze.
Structured data

Structured data is data that has been organized to a high degree and is
typically stored in a spreadsheet. Consider a well-organized Excel sheet,
which is an excellent example of structured data.

Ex: Customer information paying

installments by different methods
is saved in the database to avoid
negligence in the installment
payment process of customers.

3 types of decision
03 making levels
Operational - Tactical - Strategic
Operational

The operational strategy outlines the company's day-to-day operations.

The operational plan lays forth a road map for achieving tactical goals in a
reasonable amount of time. This strategy is very precise, with a focus on
short-term goals. Policy, regulations, and procedure are examples of these.
Example (Operational)
BI of example (Operational)

In the company's sales department, printing to issue invoices to

customers is often delayed. The reason is due to the high number of
customers, so the management decided to buy more new printers to
support and increase efficiency for invoicing. After implementing BI, the
sales manager made the decision to buy more printers when given
information about the growing number of customers. This has helped us
reach a large number of shoppers.
Tactical
The tactical plan outlines the methods that the organization intends to employ in order to
attain the strategic plan's goals. It generally has a one-year or shorter span and divides the
strategic plan into smaller, more practical parts. Specific goals with set timelines, budgets,
and resources are among the components.
Example (Tactical)
BI of example (Tactical)

Our laptop company has been applying BI since the beginning of 2021 and the
parameters show that people's demand for laptops is increasing. Especially
during the time of social distancing due to COVID-19, the increased demand will
make the company's customer care process overloaded. Anticipating this, the
managers decided to use chatbots instead of hiring more customer service staff.
This has significantly reduced the phenomenon of missing messages or missing
customer requests. And positive customer feedback helps the company increase
sales thanks to very relevant and intelligent automated responses.
Strategic

A strategic plan is a high-level overview of a company's complete operations,

including its vision, goals, and values. This strategy is the organization's basic
cornerstone, and it will determine long-term decisions. The vision, purpose, and
values are all important components.
Example (Strategic)
BI of example (Strategic)

Our company has applied real-time BI in customer acquisition activities

through product pricing, processing customer orders and returns, and more
accurate product information.
The company also applies BI in analyzing data collected from surveying the
Macbook use market in Vietnam.
Our company has decided to cooperate with Apple. After a while, the
company recovered its capital and revenue grew strongly. Expanding the
customer base nationwide.
