place. Taman Sari is actually part of the Yogyakarta Palace, although it is in a different location.
According to the story, the Tamansari building stands on the former palace, or what is known as
Pesanggrahan Garjitawati. Founded by Susuhunan Pakubuwono 2 as a resting place for horse
carriages that will go to Imogiri. Taman Sari is a very popular place and is generally visited by
tourists who want to trace the life of Sri Sultan in ancient times. This place has a bathing area that
was used by the king’s concubines. However, the bathhouse is now no longer in use and has been
converted into a tourist spot.
