Biography: Krista Canfield McNish

Krista Canfield McNish is currently the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at
CRV. In her current role, she advises the current team with their content, thought leadership,
internal and external communications, branding their websites, social media, community, events,
and sponsorships. Along with her company, some of the brands she has worked with have been
Twitter, Airtable, Doordash and Drift. Canfield enjoys working across all brand and reputation
efforts for the early-stage venture capital firm and its investors. She is a huge part of CRV’s
portfolio as she gives communications guidance to companies, founders, CEOS and their
marketing and PR teams.

It has nearly been 20 years of combined communications, public relations, marketing, social
media and broadcast experience for Canfield and it includes international work such as Brazil,
Canada, Germany and Japan.

Prior to CRV, she also worked at LinkedIn as senior manager corporate communications.
Canfield joined in 2008 when there were just 200 employees and 18 million members. She finds
it to be one of her career milestones. She also created her own PR company, CARB in November
2020. Canfield constantly studies and surveys the success of her business.

Canfield is an alumnus of Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York where she earned her
Bachelor’s of Science in Broadcast Journalism and Finance in 2003.

She currently resides in California but she was born in Washington, DC. Some causes that she is
passionate about is being on the iSchool board, mentoring PR professionals and journalists.
Canfield is constantly trying to encourage others and improve in the field herself. She is mostly
proud of little significant moments, appreciation from others and receiving feedback. She finds
her biggest goal to be helping others do their best work, to always mentor and inspire others.
Lastly, Canfield just enjoys doing work that is fulfilling and makes her happy.
