MISSION STATEMENT

My mission as an educator is to motivate, inspire, encourage, and support students by providing a safe,
secure and loving environment. I provide a foundation for students as they continue to build their
platforms for lifelong learning.

Pedagogy is a lot like water. Water is transparent and essential, water is see-through, so one may always
look to the other side of the glass or see what’s going inside of the vessel. It will quench a thirsty pallet, as
it is vital for survival, and is fluid; water adapts to what it employs. I compare water to teaching because
students should always be aware of what is expected from them as well as what is expected from me.
Students should always have access to materials and content to support a healthy learning environment.
Education should be innate for a student’s lifetime. As a lifelong learner, I prove to be faithful to my
content, wise for my students, and courageous as an art advocate.
