Mock Interview Reflection

1. What steps did you take to prepare for the mock interview?
I researched some of the positions in a hedge fund and what they do, and I gathered my thoughts of
how I would fit the job.

2. How did you feel while you were being interviewed?

I was excited, as if I was in an actual interview.

3. Reflect on your actual responses. Did you feel your responses were adequate or could you have
done better? Explain.
I think my responses were very straightforward and adequate. I went into the interview informed and
knowledgeable about the company and position.

4. What questions do you feel you answered well? Explain.

I think when the interviewer asked what skill sets I have that suit this job, I was able to answer in a
complex way which overviewed much of the jobs characteristics and needs.

5. What questions do you feel you could have answered better? How would you have answered them
differently?
When she asked me to describe a time when I worked under a lot of stress, I could have answered
better. I couldn’t think of a really stressful situation I worked under and didn’t have the greatest answer
to represent the question.

6. What areas did your interviewer mark as strengths?

Leadership, skill sets, and motives.

7. What areas did your interviewer mark as needing improvement? In what ways do you plan to
improve your performance in these areas?
The interviewer could tell I was anxious. I was fiddling a bit during the interview but other than that
nothing really was needing improvement.
