Module 5 Discussion: “Lovin’ It”

Two of my favorite periods that we studied were, Expressionism and Pop Art. I really like
Expressionism art because of how the style uses emotion and feeling. I also really like Pop Art
because of how colorful the art is and how the art looks cartoony and fun. A lot of this type of
art is in comic books which I like.
Expressionism Art

The Scream by Edvard Munch

I think this piece is special because I feel like It represents the feeling of anxiety. This is because
of how the painting flows and its colors.
Dance Around the Golden Calf by Emil Nolde
I think this piece is special because I feel that it gives a carefree type of feeling because they are
dancing and the painting has warm colors.

Self-Portrait with Chinese Lantern Plant by Egon Schiele

I think this piece is special because it is a portrait of the artist and how he portrays himself.
 
Pop Art

Tuttomondo by Keith Haring

I think this piece is special because it is fun, crazy, and colorful. I feel like I could look at this
piece for a long time and keep finding new things.
Shot Marilyns by Andy Warhol
I think this piece is special because of all the different ways the artist made Marilyn look.
Tan Tan Bo by Takashi Murakami
I think this piece is special because it has so much going on which makes it very interesting to
look at.
