（古晋15日讯）“砂政府先出资10亿令吉兴建砂癌症中心，联邦政府不能再以‘没钱’为藉
口推迟建设！”
砂每年5000癌症病例
砂公共卫生、房屋及地方政府部长拿督斯里沈桂贤表示，砂拉越急需建设一间癌症中心，因
为每年砂有5000宗癌症病例，占了全国癌症中心的40％。
他说，砂癌症患者需要约250至300个床位，现有的150个床位根本不够用，无法应付需求。
但是一直以来，先进的医疗设施都在国家癌症中心，砂拉越人只能旁观。
砂政府先出资10亿
对此，他说，砂政府愿意先出资10亿令吉来落实此计划，那么，联邦政府再也没有理由
以“没钱”作为藉口。
沈桂贤日前拜会卫生部长凯里跟进砂公共卫生课题，包括癌症中心后，在脸书贴文如是说。
他表示，过去砂拉越曾尝试多次在砂设立癌症中心，但都未取得成功，希望这次能够解决砂
拉越需要建设癌症中心的问题。
他期待这不仅仅是一项好消息，受委为顾问，更重要的是行动。
沈桂贤也提到，双方也在会面时谈到其他砂公共卫生课题，包括砂中央医院及美里医院野战
医院、新斯里阿曼医院的建设及血液透析机、石角诊所诊所需50万令吉建设护理及建设扩建
经费，以及根据1963年建国契约下放公共卫生领域权力等课题。
其中，他提到，砂中央医院及美里医院的野战医院与诗巫野战医院类似，即砂政府出资基础
建设，而卫生部资助设备、人力及营运成本。尽管公共卫生属于联邦责任，惟，砂政府基于
砂拉越人的生命也不遗余力。 

卫生部副部长拿督艾伦达干及砂公共卫生、房屋及地方政府部副部长程明智也出席了此项见
面会。
