FIRE FIGHTING FACILITY IN ACU

A 8” dia fire water header forming ring serves the additional Coking unit. It has an isolation
valve at B/L and also at various other location within unit in underground pit to facilitate
maint. work. There are twelve nos. long range monitor both in ACU & LRU , within unit 2
Nos. hydrants are provided.

There are 95 nos. fire post in ACU/LRU area out of which 63 are located / existing in ACU
and thirty two (32) in LRU.

In order to serve emergency call two nos each fire alarm points are provided in ACU &
LRU.

Pump house in ACU and LRU are separately provided with water sprinkler system. In the
year 1996. 7- P- 09C/D were exclusively provided with water sprinker system facilitating
enclosed water spray during fire etc.
