Instrument Jeopardy Lesson Plan

Objectives:
Review their instrument packet through a Jeopardy game.

Standards Being Addressed:


Re.1.3 Demonstrate and describe how selected music connects to and is influenced by specific
interests, experiences, or purposes.

Materials:
White board, Jeopardy cards, colored plates, score keeping paper.

Lesson Sequence:

Introduction:
Welcome students into class. Introduce myself to the students. Briefly explain the activity and
what it is based off of.

Activity 1:
Step One: Divide the students into their four teams.

Step Two: Explain how the game works and the categories.

Step Three: Take turns going around the room having teams answer questions.

Assessment: See which questions the class struggles with to see where they may need to
review.

Transition: Have the students return to their dots on the floor to reorganize.

Assessment:
What topics did the students do well on? Where did they struggle? What do we need to
readdress?

Conclusion:
Scores will be tallied and a winning team will be determined. Students will then get ready to
quietly enter the hallway.
