TITLE: LGU Post-Typhoon Programs for the Residents of Magsaysay, Bagamanoc, Catanduanes

1. Finding and Reviewing of Literature on the Research Topic

Typhoon “Goni” (International Name), known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon

“Rolly”, was an extremely powerful tropical cyclone that made landfall as a Category 5 –
Equivalent super typhoon on Catanduanes in the Philippines. It brought massive
destruction in most of its municipalities. One of the areas affected by the typhoon is
Barangay Magsaysay in Bagamanoc, Catanduanes. Most of the houses and other
structures were damaged and washed out by the flashfloods caused by the typhoon.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS:
- Demographical Profile of the casualties/victims of the Typhoon Rolly in the Barangay
Magsaysay, Bagamanoc, Catanduanes
- What are the LGU Post-typhoon programs implemented in the Barangay Magsaysay,
Bagamanoc, Catanduanes?

2. Designing a research project that will answer your research questions

Conduct a case study about the topic, investigate and ask group of individuals in the
community.

3. Collecting relevant data from one or more sources

Prepare a list of questions and conduct interview on different group of individuals such
as victims of calamities, local government and other government agencies.

4. Analyzing the data, statistically.

Generalize and summarize the data using the different statistical tools. To summarize
the demographical profile of the respondents, use the descriptive statistics to have
reliable results. In addition, consolidate your interviews in a narrative report.

5. Writing up and presenting your findings.

Presentation of results/findings can be done using graphical presentations and in

narrative form.
