PICOT Question: In laboring women, what is the effect of using aromatherapy compared to not
using aromatherapy, on the severity of pain experienced in the first stage of labor?
AIM: Reduce numerical pain score in the first stage of labor by two 30 minutes after
nonpharmacological pain intervention.
Outcome Measures:

1. % of patients assessed for pain in first stage of labor (# L & D patients assessed for pain
