Writing
Ask the students to write a sentence about their favorite part of
the story.

Look through book and find words they know already.
Read story together once.
Word Study
Omega, Knora, and I will be continuing to work on sight words
this week. I have created Spring sight word sheets for the students
to complete. This week, we will finish the Barnyard Graphing
sheet from last session and also complete the color by sight words
sheet. Omega and Knora will each have to identify a sight word
and then we will all color this sight word in. We will repeat this
until all of the spaces are colored in.

Anecdotal Notes
Omega was absent this session, so I only worked with Knora.
Read Aloud with Comprehension & Tier 2 Word
Knora was super excited about this book and told me after every page what
she would do if she was the Easter Bunny. I enjoyed listening to her ideas and
the kindness she wanted to share with her friends and family.
Writing
I ended up asking Knora to write one thing she would do if she was the Easter
Bunny. She came up with the sentence, "If I was the Easter Bunny I would
give eggs to everyone.
Student Reads
Knora did not know where her Homework book was this week, so I decided
to let her pick any book from the classroom to read. She chose the book "Pete
the Cat: I Love my White Shoes". She did fairly well reading this boom with
the repetition. I was impressed with her prosody and reading ability.
Word Study
Since Omega was absent, I decided to change my plans to do a final
assessment on Knora. I completed the DIBELS first sound fluency
assessment, DIBELS letter naming fluency assessment, and the Dolch List for
Kindergarten assessment with Knora.
We ended the tutoring session with looking back through the If I were the
Easter Bunny book and answering comprehension questions.
