We can model this situation with the help of fundamental theorem of calculus easily.

The function,

H=f(t) gives the height of the water, in inches, in a bathtub at time t, in minutes .

Starting with an empty tub at t=0,

We plug the drain, take off your watch, turn on some relaxing music, enter the tub, and then begin to
fill it at t=2 miniutes and height of water rises suddenly till we turn off the water at t= 10 sec .

Now we can easily model the height of the water in tub changes with respect to time with help of
fundamental theorem of calculus.

Now we assume , some function ,

As Height of water in tub is a function of time and it is increasing function,

So, let us assume that,

H = f(t) = 2t + 5

Now when we differentiating f(t) with respect to t ,

F’(t) = 2 > 0

So, height of water in tub is greater than zero as it is correct to our logic as when we add water then
water in tub increases.
So we satisfy all conditions of model.

Now we add graph
