One of them is film, and film needs filmmakers. No one in this world hates movies; everybody loves
them.

We are what you need! We create the stories, we tell them, produce them. We start you, young
filmmakers. We are Beenix cinematography.

Binix Sinematografi is one of SMA Negeri 9 Manado public high school extracurriculars created in
2016. We offer students multiple learning experiences to support them in learning everything they
need to know about filmmaking, from basic filmmaking lessons to projects that students can
participate in - all done in a serious yet fun manner. Such activities are created for learning and
enabling students to channel their talents, grow their hobbies, and improve their skills in the field of
filmmaking.

As there are many aspects of a film, Binix Sinematografi offers divisions based on what creates a film
where students can specialize in, such as Cameraman, Editor, Scriptwriter, Music, Sound designer,
Art, Talent, etc. When students receive their basic training, they eventually gain more skills and
knowledge by going into the field and experiencing firsthand the process of filmmaking.

This experience-based learning is packed with a self-development journey where they learn how to
communicate, develop good relationships, manage time, build self-discipline, and most importantly,
work together as a team in a creative collaboration.

Our students' efforts have produced excellent results! Kita Punya Pilihan, our first film, started our
filmmaking journey.

Throughout the years, our extracurricular gained more creative students with extraordinary talents.
Along the way, they learned how to develop those talents and, as a result, produced many more
various films. So far, Binix Sinematografi has produced 12 films. But not all of them are published but
just for the learning process.
Back in 2017, Trigonometri. the movie was created with much more enthusiasm following the first
film, making it our first full-length film and reach the most watched movie of all time.

The student's dedication to grow and improve have given birth to more milestones for Binix
Sinematografi. The start of consecutive wins began with Prawira. This short film made its way to
winning first place in FLS2N on the provincial level back in 2017. It was also being selected as
nomination of Grabag Award in the Jokjakarta student film competition in 2018. Following the
success of Prawira, Lisa followed the win in the same competition of FLS2N in the same year. At the
end of 2018, film Opa, the students proved themselves again by winning Best Actor and Best
Nominee in PARFI 56 Competition; after pulling off a thriving three single-shot scenes, they displayed
their technical skills and made themselves shine through their acting skills. Indeed an impressive
feat, isn't it?

If you are young, talented, have dreams in filmmaking. How about you? If they could do it, then you
can do it too. Who knows, you might be able to achieve and set more significant milestones for Binix
Sinematografi and yourself.

All you need is a desire, passion, dedication, and hard work to go through what it takes; or even you
will not become a filmmaker, you still can get many soft skills you need to live in this creative digital
era.

Because learning filmmaking will give you many skills, you need to be a better version of yourself.
