1. WHAT HAVE THEY ACCOMPLISHED AS A SCHOOL GOVERNING COUNCIL?

Each school has its School Governing Council of SGC which is


composed of chairperson, vice- chairperson, secretary, treasurer, auditor and
school head as the chief executive officer. The SGC members occupying those
positions are teachers, parents and president of student council.
For the SGC of Malibago ES, they had numerous accomplishments from
the start of school year 2021- 2022 up to present. They assisted the school in
implementing its projects and programs in line with promoting welfare of the
learners during pandemic and in making implementation of limited face to face
possible for the learners of Malibago ES. SGC headed by the school head able
to establish good relationship with external stakeholders and able to raise fund
used in improving the school surroundings and ensuring that school will strictly
comply with the health and safety protocol given by authorities.
More so, they help in the crafting of School Improvement Plan for 2022-
2023 to 2024- 2025 by means of gathering data from the school’s primary
partners, the learners and the parents, on the common challenges they had
experienced as for the implementation of modular distance learning. Together
with the rest of the teachers and officers of general PTA, School Governing
Council formulated the school’s Enhanced School Improvement Plan prioritizing
projects that will help the school in achieving its goal in the coming three years.

2. WHAT ARE THE DIFFICULTIES THEY ARE FACING?


The difficulty that the members of School Governing Council is facing this
time is more on communication because there is restriction brought by the
pandemic that limits the number of meetings of the council. However, the council
able to overcome this problem because aside from face to face meet up, they
utilized other platforms of communication. They also experience problems when
it comes to delegating tasks, but it was solved already.
