• Conducted common loon surveys in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem via shoreline,
boat, and small aircraft
• Monitored loon territories for nesting status, threats to nesting and survivorship
• Assisted in the capture and banding of loons
• Assisted in the operation of a MAPS banding station, including the extraction and
banding of passerines caught in mist nests
• Deployed small mammal traps, identified and individually marked those caught
• Deployed and baited trail cameras

Greater Sage-Grouse Field Technician February 2019-August 2020


University of Idaho, Rogerson, ID
• Trapped, radio collared, banded, measured primary feathers, and aged greater sage-
grouse
• Monitored nest and brood success of collared hens by performing daily triangulations,
daybreak flushes, and obtaining nighttime location of roost site
• Collected fecal from hens and brood at roost site
• Collected DNA on eggs from failed nests and conducted mortality cause investigations
• Conduced vegetation surveys and short-eared owl surveys
• Trained crew in the construction and maintenance of insect pit fall traps and sweep net
transects
