How do you encourage
and help with parent
involvment? Especially
for students with
disabilities.

ANSWER
" I send out weekly newsletters
and contact parents monthly
either in person or over the
phone to consult for any
concerns or changes"

REFLECTION
I believe this is really important to not only

the parents but to the students because they

see their teacher and parents interacting and

see that their parents care about what they

are doing. It is also important to include

parents in every decision making process.

This includes any further steps taken with a

student with disabilities.

Reflection: I believe everyone deserves an opportunity to get

an education and no one should be refused it. It is the systems

job to get educators the proper training on how to teach

different types of students. It is not the job of the parents to

look around for better options or homeschooling, the

education system should take care of everyones needs
