Our country is currently experiencing a severe unemployment issue. Even with advanced degrees, youth are wandering from door to door for employment. Instead of
generating new employment, over lakhs of government positions are vacant, and youth, on the other hand, are being lathi-charged. The whole world stands witness to the
repression of aspirants of the RRB NTPC exam by the government. Now, even if the hiring is taking place, it's done on a contract basis with minimum wages so low that it is
difficult for workers to live a dignified life even after working overtime. In the private sector, instead of generating new employment opportunities, the sword of
retrenchment is hovering over the heads of the people. Similarly, the nation's farmers have been compelled to fight for a law establishing a Minimum Support Price (MSP)
for crops. The government has no plan for strengthening women's economic power, although they make up half of the nation's population.

Our governments have yet to formulate policies to address the problem of unemployment that should have been in India following independence. That is why, even after
more than seven decades of independence, our country has yet to formulate a "National Employment Policy." Already beleaguered by unemployment, the corona has
exacerbated our economy's predicament. In the current times, the challenge of unemployment is not limited to the populace of villages but has spread over megacities, as
well. Whether born in any caste, professed any religion, speaks any language, whether residing in any region, whether female, male or third gender, no one has escaped the
ravages of unemployment.

For the past several years, the predicament of unemployment and economy has perplexed most of the nation's organizations, including students, youth, labourers, farmers,
and women, but the central government has refused to listen. In such a situation, it is imperative that all organizations work together to launch a national movement
against unemployment.

To formulate a "National Employment Policy" in India, Desh Ki Baat Foundation took the initiative on 19 December 2021 and organized an "Employment Parliament" at
Jantar Mantar (Delhi) with the active participation of over 30 organizations, including the All India Students Association (AISA), Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS), All
India Students Federation (AISF), Democratic Students Federation (DSF), Revolutionary Youth Association (RYA), Jan Adhikar Chhatra Parishad (JNCP), UPSC Compensatory
Attempt Forum, RJD Student Wing, JDU Student Wing, AAP Youth Wing, Centre for Trade Unions (CITU), Hind Mazdoor Sabha, Labor Progressive Federation, Shramik Vikas
Sangathan (SVS), Self Employed Women's Association (SEWA), Trade Union Coordination Centre (TUCC), Delhi Gharelu Kamgar Union, Nirman Mazdoor Panchayat Sangam,
Bharatiya Railway Mazdoor Union, MCD Employees Association, All India Airport Employees Organization, Hospital Employees General Association, Haryana Kisan
Sangathan, Delhi Teachers Association (DTA), CII, Women Advocates Foundation, 4B Foundation, S. Bhambri & Associates, Lagaam: An Initiative, Civils Corner is prominent.

All the organizations that took part in the Employment Parliament reached a common consensus that there is a need to create a framework for the national movement
against unemployment by involving all the nation's struggling organizations in this campaign. For this purpose, a National Employment Conference will be held on 23rd and
24th March 2022 at Shah Auditorium in Delhi. In which representatives from over 200 organizations from across the country will participate. We humbly invite you to
participate in the National Employment Conference so that all of us together can initiate a nationwide movement to formulate a "National Employment Policy" to combat
unemployment.
