“Suppose You’re Researching” activity


The kind of information I would cite from this site would be what most fits my topic.
Considering the information is presented by a government website I would find everything
credible. Comparing the infographic in the book to the NASA article I would probably cite the
NASA article over the infographic. The information found in the article was probably found and
written by one of the many scientists employed by NASA.

What are the characteristics of an annotated bibliography? Identify and describe each
characteristic.
● Complete bibliographic info: Add all the necessary information of the source
● A brief summary or description of each work: make sure to include notes on the topic,
scope, and stance.
● Evaluative comments: evaluate the source on whether it is up to date, has multiple
perspectives, and the strengths and weaknesses.
● Some indication of how each source will inform your research: Explain how you expect
to use each source.
● A consistent and concise presentation: the annotations should be consistent throughout
the bibliography and should only summarize the main points and key details that relate to
your topic.
