To Whom It May Concern-

It is my absolute delight to recommend Grady Sondgeroth for any and all teaching opportunities. I have
had the pleasure of being Grady’s coach for nearly 4 years in both football and track & field at Fenton
High School. Over the years, I was able to witness remarkable growth and development in an exceptional
young man. Some of the more specific qualities that come to mind when I think about Grady are his
leadership, enthusiasm, and selflessness.

Grady was a leader in both sports for all of his years at Fenton High. He is courageous enough to take
charge when things get tough, yet humble enough to deflect credit to others during the good times. Well
respected by his peers, I attribute much of his influence to both his optimistic attitude and his leadership
abilities.

Additionally, Grady is perhaps one of the most outgoing, confident, and enthusiastic young men I’ve been
fortunate enough to coach. His positivity is infectious, and he’s quick to provide comic relief in any group
setting. Not once have I seen him shaken or rattled by anything, which I can only assume is due to his
positive demeanor and upbeat nature.

Grady has played a lead role in orchestrating many off-field fundraisers and volunteer work opportunities,
including the annual Wounded Warrior Game. This project has donated over $100,000 to the Wounded
Warrior Project in the 8 years since its inception. He has also done a significant amount of volunteer work
on his own, benefitting the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a testament to his dedication to
community service and empathy.

I could not give a stronger endorsement for any student-athlete I’ve worked with than I give Grady. He is
an incredible young man- one who will benefit not only his peers, but the faculty, citizens, and
community as a whole. I have the utmost confidence that Grady Sondgeroth is and will continue to be a
positive addition to the communities around him. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any further
questions you may have regarding Grady’s character.

Sincerely,

Alex Okopien
