CURIOSITIES: The Lord Of The Rings movie trilogy is an adaptation of the book triology by author John Ronald Ruel Tolkien. Most of the scenes in the film were shot in the interiors of cities in England, and also in parts of Germany. The film had a total of 14 nominations for the Academy Awards, including the biggest category which is Best Picture, winning only 4 categories. It took home 4 gold statuettes.
