"It is a waste of time to be angry about my disability.

One has to get on with life and I haven't

done badly. People won't have time for you if you are always angry or complaining."
This is one of the many quotes that made the well-known physicist Stephen Hawking noticed
and appreciated.
Also called „The voiceless genius”, Stephen Hawking has born on January 8 ,1942,exactly
three hundred years after Galileo Galilei’s death.
Hawking began studying in a girls' school, where his passion for mathematics would guide
him from then on for the rest of his life. Stephen had to pursue another specialization in
mathematics, namely the natural sciences, on which occasion he also studied physics. And yet
what is considered today a genius of exact sciences, Stephen Hawking proves to be rather a
mediocre student there which requires a final oral re-examination to absorb the final courses.
Only then did Hawking's teachers understand that in front of them is a student who was much
smarter than many of them. His mind worked differently from the others, he never took notes.
As Oxford College proves to be insufficient for his thirst for knowledge, the future scientist
applied and was admitted to Cambridge where he studied astronomy and cosmology
intensely. 23-year-old Hawking observes for the first time a muscle weakness.
After a medical examination, he found a sclerosis-type disease. He was given a maximum of 3
years to live. a friend a sophisticated computer that helps him move and talk.
And this is one of the reasons why I chose to write about him, his ambition and his ability to
overcome all his difficulties are very impressive.

Most people diagnosed with this degenerative disease live less than 5 years after this
diagnosis. The fact that he lived with this disease for almost 50 years makes him an
extraordinary man with a providential destiny.
