1. Scope
This specification establishes the minimum requirement for the manufacturing, testing and
supply of seamless line pipe of API 5L 45th PSL1 X52 manufactured by Tianjin XinYue
Industrial And Trade Co.,LTD, Tianjin, China.
2. Reference Standards
This specification includes by references, either in total or in part, the latest edition of API
standard and customer’s specification unless a specific edition is listed:

3. Description of products
The products should be as per Order, and the length shall be as per API 5L 45th and the
capacity of Mill.

Grain size shall be minimum 7 according to ASTM E112,test frequency: 1 pc/heat for normal

24 Marking *Each length of pipe shall be stencil painted at the outside surface according to API 5L with
the following information included:
25 Coating Outside surface of pipe shall be coated by Mill standard External Varnish coating. If varnish
shall not be applied to the body as per customer’s requirements, the marking area shall be
coated by Mill standard External Varnish coating.
26 Residual Residual magnetism measuring shall be made at four points around the circumference of each
magnetism end of the pipe (three pipes per shift), the average of the four readings shall not exceed 20
measuring gauss.
27 pipe ends Plastic pipe end protectors shall applied to both ends of each length of pipe to protect the bevel
protectors from damage.
28 Test certificate Mill test certificate shall be provided in English As per EN 10204 3.1 and conform to
customer’s requirements.

Production test first-day production pipes, at least two heats shall be represented by the test pipes. First day
and Frequency Production Test shall be as per the following table:
