1. Consonants are produced from constriction or blockage in the oral cavity while
vowels are produced when there is no constriction or blockage in the oral cavity.
2. Three values of consonant possesses :
- Place of articulation
- Manner of articulation
- Voicing
3. “k” is voiceless because produced when the vocal folds do not vibrate.
“g” is voiced because produced when the vocal folds vibrate.
4. Group a : [ʤ] = jam/ /ʤæm/
This consonant is a voiced consonant. The pronunciation of this consonant is very
unique. I prefer to this symbol because it is easy to explain and practice.
Group b : [k] = is a voiceless. This symbol its very easy to pronunciation.
Group c : [p] = is a voiceless. This consonant easy to practice.
Group d : [s] = is a voiceless. This consonant is very unique because from the way
to pronouns it is very different.
Group e : [N] = is a voiceless
