INITIATING
- Initiating is the one that I’ve decided to choose because I can base it on our situation
now in online class. We all know that it’s hard to communicate or to socialize with your
classmates especially when you only meet them through online. You don’t know how will
they interpret your opinions and suggestions on the given topics. It’s hard at first because
we don’t want to offend them at any way and we don’t want to make them feel
uncomfortable at first. I have chosen this topic because as a student I can relate by the
means of how to initiate a proposal about a certain task or goals. I can also clearly recall the
scenario of me and my classmates by the time we have a group activity and we are all shy
to share out thoughts. This is the scenario of that situation:

Leader: Hello guys, good day! What do you think about the task we need to finish? We’re
open for your suggestions/thoughts about the task and on how we can accomplish it.

Groupmate 1: I think we must think thoroughly since it’s not an easy task to accomplish.

Groupmate 2: I agree, since it’s also our first time to be in a group. Let’s start by sharing our
own thoughts. Thank you, Leader for initiating this kind of group chat. This can help us to do
some brain storming.

Me: For me, the easiest way is to share your own thoughts and after that let’s all vote on
what we think is the best to make.

Leader: That’s a good proposal. I’ll give you guys 24 hours to gather your opinions and then
you can share it here on our group chat. I think 24 hours is enough, right?

All of us agreed on the 24 hours’ time to gather our opinion and to make the best proposal.
