MAINTENANCE PARTS LIST. ‘The parts list contains a breakdown of the compressor into assemblies, subassemblies and detail parts. Each assembly is followed by ts subassemblies and compo- nent parts, which are indented with "bullet" symbols to idontty the relationship to the next higher assembly. ‘Assemblies which are broken down in separate lists and itustrations, listthe appropriate figure number and page reference after the tem description. tems which are not preceded by bullet eymbole or indentation are to be regarded as part of the complete compressor assembly or package. 3. EXPLANATION OF COLUMNS. 4. GENERAL Each parts list is divided into seven col- umns. The following paragraphs offer a brief explana- tion of each, any special notations or abbreviations. used therein, and how the information should be used when ordering parts. 5. REFERENCE NUMBER (REF. NBR.). Eachillustration is followed immediately by the list of pars, either on the same page or onthe facing page. The reference number column on the left-hand side of the page lists the figure ‘number for the illustration, followed by the call-out num- bet on the illustration which identifies that item. items which cannot be practically Hustrated (.e., lubricants, sealants, etc.) are denoted by an asterisk (*) in this column. The reference number is usually not required for ordering parts or kits. 6. PART NUMBER. All items listed in this manual bear Ingersoll-Rand part numbers, which are listed in this column. These kits provide all ofthe parts Yyou will need to perform common repair or scheduled ‘maintenance tasks, such as piston ring replacement or valve replacement.
