Reflection Essay

In essay 1 we could not use personal pronouns so this time it was much easier to write an

argumentative essay with my personal opinion without using personal pronouns. In essay 2 we

had to argue in between sources, making it easier to write essay 3. Something that was not

applicable for essay three from essay one were the different topics. In essay one we had to use

our own research, while in essay three we had to rely more on peer-reviewed sources. In essay 2,

since both of the essays were based on the same topic, mostly everything was used for essay 3.

In the third essay, since there were more arguments, this could help with other courses

because the majority of the time, other professors require argumentative essays. The majority of

the things from essay three are applicable to other courses except the topic that was used. The

creation of an argument within an essay is helpful because it is much easier to explain.

Approaching writing tasks in the future is going to be easier because I already know how to start

the argument, whether it is within the authors of peer-reviewed sources or arguments between me

and another author.

Readers of my essay stated that I was good with writing a strong introduction and thesis.

They explained that the thesis matches the essay very well and that the conclusion restates my

main points from the essay and it establishes my thesis well. Some weaknesses that were pointed

out by my peers were my transition words, because according to them, they did not match very

well. Comments that are going to be the same is most likely my topic that was chosen.
Previously my professor had stated that I chose a very interesting topic. Comments that might

differ are most likely going to be the fact that I had a strong thesis.

The least challenging thing from this essay was the fact that it was an argumentative

essay because we have previously discussed and done this type of research. Also, since I had to

use a personal opinion on this topic it was rather easy to not use personal pronouns. The most

challenging part of this essay was to be able to include all 9 sources that I used. Sometimes in

between essay I would have writers block because I did not know how to use some of the authors

viewpoints.
