Reflection Essay

Essay 1 was very helpful while doing essay 2 because it helped me understand genres and

communities a lot more which made essay 2 easier. One thing that I learned in essay 1 but did

not apply to essay 2 was a lot of information about the constitution. In essay 2 I learned about

being more organized with my essays which will help me with any essays I need to complete in

the future. I do not think that social media ads will be very applicable to any of my other classes

because it is something that people do on their own time and not in school. The analysis of the

same genre in multiple communities helped me improve my writing by being more organized

with my essay. One of my writing weaknesses was not getting a genre and getting just a social

media platform which meant I was not following the prompt. A strength of mine was my

organization because I organized the essay by each social media platform. The most challenging

aspect of the essay was probably trying to figure out what I wanted my topic to be and what I

was going to write about with each topic. The easiest aspect was keeping my essay as organized

as possible. I believe that my identity as a writer has changed with this essay because it helped

me to try to understand the prompt more before I start any other of my essays.
