Activities Guide and Evaluation Rubric - Unit 2 - Task 5 - Having My Job Interview
1. Activity Description
The student will be able to communicate Orally him/herself in English to present a Job
interview, describing his/her professional profile, working experiences and all the
related information, among others.
4 stages and all of them are required to present your job interview and get the work
of your dreams. So, it is important for you to follow and complete all the stages.
STAGE 1
1.2. Take screenshot to the following activities and share them in the forum.
Module 11, lesson 9, 10, 12 and 13
Module 12, lessons 1, 10, 14 and 1
1.3. Check out and study the online content of the B1 level. Watch the video on
module 5, lesson 1 and complete the proposed exercise. Share the direct

screenshot of the evidence of your work in the forum: HAVING MY JOB
INTERVIEW. (No files attached).
1.4. Go to the Online content and do the next listening practices suggested in the
modules. You need to provide a direct screenshot of evidence of every practice
in the collaborative forum. (No files attached)
This stage will help you to improve your pronunciation in your Oral speech for the job
interview.
STAGE 2
For this stage, it is required your critical professional thinking to present the job
interview. It is now the last part to complete all the tasks and get this important work
of your life. Let´s do it together!
4.2. Add your tutor to your contacts on Skype. Your tutor’s account will be on
Communicative forum or you can check his/her messages.
4.3. It is necessary to register on time for the English interview in advance on the
schedule posted by your tutor on the forum for this task. Register from the very
first day of the activity.
4.4. Be on Skype 15 minutes before the interview to test your audio and video
hardware. Let your tutor know by typing that you are waiting your turn; do not
call him/her.
4.5. On the interview, your tutor will ask you in English some of the follow
questions:

c. Do you have plans for further education? Tell me something about it.
d. Why do you think you are suited for this position?
e. What are your short-term goals?
f. What are your long-term goals?
g. Please describe your work experience.
h. What leadership or managerial positions have you held?
i. What strengths would you bring to a team?
j. Which aspects can you help to improve in your professional area?
k. What can you do for the world from your professional perspective?
4.6. Take a screenshot of the interview where your face and the grade given by
your tutor can be seen because you will have to include it in the work consolidation.
Important notes
- There is a limit on how many students can be attended by the tutor per day, so
schedules will be limited to specific hours and dates.
- Register for your interview in the schedule organized by your tutor to guarantee your
space to do it. The drive link for the interview inscription will be shared in the forum.
- Your tutor will provide you feedback on your Oral performance to improve your
Communicative English skills.
After your job interview, you have completed all the stages and you have reached your
goals to have the work of your dreams thanks to all your effort and excellent
performance. Congratulation and keep working hard. You really got it!

STAGE 3
The student self-evaluates from a reflection based on the results of their academic
performance in their written and oral production tasks suggested in the course. To
develop this activity, download the file “Annex 1” in the Learning Environment, link
Activities guide and evaluation rubric - Unit 3 - Task 5 - Having my Job
Interview (the same where you found this Guide) there you will find a WORD
document; complete the form and when you finish, take a screenshot, and share it in
the forum and in the individual work consolidation.
Each student must consolidate and submit in a PDF document, the following
information from the evidence of the participation in the Collaborative forum:
a. Cover with information of full name, code, academic program and number
of collaborative group, among others.
b. Screenshot of your participation in the forum posting the practice of the
required lessons, stage 1.2 and 1.3.
c. All the Screenshots of your participation of the three pronunciation
exercises of stage 1.4 in the forum.
d. Screenshot of your Job interview presented by Skype with your tutor
showing your face.
e. Screenshot of your self-assessment. Stage 3, part 3.1.
In the Initial Information Environment, you must: check the agenda out to verify
the opening and closing dates of the task.

In the Learning Environment, you must: check out and study the Online Content
(Level B1 from module 7 to module 12). Enter the forum and participate in the
development of Individual tasks.
In the Evaluation Environment, you must: Upload a PDF format document with all
the information required.

- Screenshot of your participation posting the practice of Module 11, lesson 9, 10,
12 and 13 and Module 12, lessons 1, 10, 14 and 1
- Screenshot of the exercise in Module 5, lesson 1: presenting my Job Interview.
- All the Screenshots of your participation of the two pronunciation exercises:
Module 9 – Lesson 17, module 11, lesson 16.
- Screenshot of your Job interview presented by Skype with your tutor showing
your face.
- Screenshot of the self-assessment, Stage 3.
• It’s student responsibility to register in the Drive agenda sent by your tutor. It’s
necessary to register from the very first week of the activity.
• Every student must show his-her identification card in the Skype meeting. The
tutor will make questions to verify student´s identity.
• The day of the interview, verify all your electronic devices work properly
(internet connection, camera, and microphone).
• Send a message (don’t call him/her without authorization) via Skype to your
tutor 15 minutes before the scheduled hour for your interview. Let you tutor

know you are ready to have your interview. Students must contact their tutors,
don’t wait his/her call.
• Every student must submit the requested product in the environment indicated
by the teacher.
• Before submitting the requested product, students should check that it meets all
the requirements mentioned in this activity guide.
Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
You can review your written products using the Turnitin tool found in the virtual
campus.

3. Evaluation Rubric Template
Second evaluation High level: The student presents the Oral interview with his/her
criterion: tutor by Skype and answers in English to all the questions with
fluency without reading. The use of grammar is accurate and
make the conversation understandable. Uses different

tutor by Skype but he/she does not prepare the answers for the
questions proposed on the guide activity.
The student does not present the interview. The student does
not participate in this task.
Third evaluation
criterion:
High level: The student communicates Orally in English and
content replies eloquently to all the question. The pronunciation is
Assessment. accurate, he/she has an excellent intonation, words stress, and
