Gavin (2017) highlights on the factors that lead the languages to diversity and change.

First, the total number of spoken languages are more than 7000 languages all over the world
and each country speaks different language. There are different spoken languages even in the
same country. For example, there is an island in the South Pacific called Makelua in the nation of
Vanuatu, the number of languages spoken there are 16 different languages. Even in the same
village, you can see different languages. There are two basic assumptions for the diversity of
languages first; populations will move to fill available spaces where no one else lives. Second,
rainfall will limit the number of people that can live in a place. I think these two assumptions are
the ideal factors that lead to diversity. In my opinion, I think languages are very important to us
because they help us to communicate with each other’s because nowadays you cannot do
anything without languages.
