Montreal

What is the first thing that comes into your mind when mentioning Canada? I guess it is chilly
dreary weather and brightly white landscapes. But, did you know that summers in Montreal
commonly reach temperatures of 30°C? Actually, autumn and spring have become the perfect
seasons for long walks. In fact, Montreal attracts visitors by mixing crowded downtown with
life near mountains. And you don’t even need to rent a car to properly visit this charming,
French-speaking city, you can easily travel through it on foot!

The Montreal experience encompasses so many things, from relaxing under a tree in the
endless tranquil green spaces of the well-known McGill University to having an extraordinarily
black expresso coffee with a heavenly crunchy croissant at the pocket-size cafe Humble Lion or
becoming amazed by tasting the delicious artistic plates at the classy wine-bar Cadet.

Saint-Laurent Boulevard, commonly known as “The Main”, is a 7-mile-long street that

separates East from West. Numerous art galleries, famous music shops and gastronomic are
placed there, but the real delights of discovery lie in imagining how a large number of
immigrants have left their footprint along this street by settling in that area from the beginning
of the 19th century and opening the variety of restaurants and shops.

Montreal’s downtown is full of gorgeous and colorful public art. While walking through it, you
may see not only painted murals on the side of buildings, but also sculptures or ceramics.
Visiting it may be a one-time opportunity to open your mind and appreciate all kind of art!
