1. What does the author recommend that we do to be successful in cross-cultural communication.

Cross-cultural communication understanding is more than realizing another culture is different from
ours. The way to cross-cultural understanding is to learn to recognize individual differences and gain an
appreciation, respect and knowledge of other cultures that are different from our own.

B. Read the following statements carefully. Decide if each statement is true or false. If the statement is
true, write T. If the statment is false, re-write or revise it to make it true.

T 1. Anyone who is a proficient speaker of a language will find communication across cultures easy.
