different color. Thank you 😊. Part 1- Outcome A: Genre
What is a genre analysis (in your own words)?
Genre analysis is mean when you look over many papers that are in the same genre to learn about its convention and trait. Why is it important for you as a writer? What is your new genre? It is very important to me as a writer since genre analysis is a new approach to discourse and text analysis. It will help me develop both my reading and writing skills in the future. My new genre is presentation. Show me 3 of the conventions of your genre and quote your work in project 3, explaining how you implemented these conventions in each example. Don't forget your audience. My audience is kids, so I try to be as funny as possible. I never forget about my audience; I even make a warm-up activity and game show afterward for them. Choose readable colors and fonts. My 2 main fonts are Comic San MS and Gill San MT which I found so easy to read and look playful. Color for the fonts: I tried to contrast color with the background so it will be easier to read. Don't overload your presentation with words. This PowerPoint presentation is targeted at middle school students so I tried not to put too many words on a slide that might confuse them and destroy the whole purpose of the project.
Part 2- Outcome A: Rhetorical Situation
1- Define Your New Audience (be very specific, 2 qualifiers) --example: high school kids in NM. My new audience will be middle schoolers at Menaul School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Menaul School is the high school that I went to but they also teach middle schoolers. 2- What is your purpose with Project 3? My purpose is to introduce to them a job that they might not know about. Also, about the pros and cons of this job. 3-Based on these 2 descriptions of your audience and your purpose fill in the table. One is enough for each cell.

Part 3: Choose one of the following: research, creativity, coherence,
organization, or multimodality. Show an example of how you applied it. Explain your example. I choose multimodality because I used it from the start of this revised project until the very last slide of the presentation. I start with a PowerPoint presentation with included pictures and words. After that, I do a voice-over by recording myself in an imagination classroom doing a presentation about my dream job. If you watch the project video, you can see all the elements listed down here: LINGUISTIC/ALPHABETIC ― written and spoken words. VISUAL ― images. AURAL ― sound, music. GESTURAL ― movement, expression, body language. SPATIAL ― position, physical arrangement, proximity.
