Session Assignment
Topic – Swimlane
Problem Statement
• Roshini is a volunteer-led NGO with its home base in Bihar
established in the summer of 2012. The founder, Zhansi Kumari
started the NGO with the dream of providing a helping hand to the
disadvantaged communities of Bihar. Roshini works towards the
upliftment of the communities in the slums. Coming from a slum
herself, she empathizes with the children belonging to these
disadvantaged groups and wants to ignite their flames of hopes and
dreams brighter through the NGO. The NGO actively gets donations,
both monetary or resources [basic necessities] due to its goodwill in
the society. It actively works on sending these resources out to the
most vulnerable slums in phases. Around 15% of the monetary
donations are utilized in admin work of the NGO like paying up utility
bills, rents, cost of writing and publishing reports, etc. And, the rest
entirely goes into purchasing resources to be sent out.
• The Sashakt campaign was started in response to the Bihar
floods at the beginning of 2017. Wherein, the NGO didn't
receive the anticipated response to it’s crowdfunding campaigns,
social media campaigns and partnership strategies since, around
80% of the donations come from Bihar itself. This led to a fall in
the resource inventory. Therefore, due to this decrease in
inventory, the NGO now hasto give precedence to the more
vulnerable areas. Construct a Swim Lane Analysis for Roshini,
tracing how the distribution process of the resources received
by the NGO, through the Sashakt campaign will take place. Be
cognizant of the present ecological scenario and state out the
assumptions clearly.
Solution
Conclusion
