User Manual

Please read this manual carefully before attempting installation and online activation. Pictures are for
indication and illustration purposes only.

4. Getting Started
4.1. Power On/Off
4.1.1. Power On: Before power on, please insert the SIM card and connect all the wiring. The
device will auto power on when external power input is connected. Otherwise, on long
press of Power button for over 3 seconds, the device will switch on. On Power On, all three
LEDs will start flashing.
4.1.2. Power Off: When the device is in power on state, on long press of power key for over 3
seconds, the device will switch off. On power off, all the LEDs will be off. If external power
input also exists, the device will auto restart again.
4.2. LED Scintillation State Interpretation

LED Scintillation state Meaning

Red Shine 0.1 sec, dim 4 sec Working

(Power LED) Shine 1 sec, dim 2 sec Low power

Always dim Power off OR fault

Blue Shine 0.1 sec, dim 4 sec GPS Fixed

(GPS LED) Shine 1 sec, dim 2 sec GPS not Fixed

Always dim Power off OR fault

Yellow Shine 0.1 sec, dim 4 sec GSM/GPRS Ready

(GSM/GPRS LED) Shine 1 sec, dim 2 sec GSM/GPRS not ready

5. Installation and commands


5.1. Preparation
5.1.1. Use a GSM SIM card with functional GPRS and Caller ID facility activated. In case GPRS is
not functional contact your service provider
5.1.2. Before inserting the SIM card, please make sure to turn off the device
5.1.3. Then insert the SIM card
5.2. Installation
5.2.1. While installing the device, ensure that the GPS Antenna are facing skyward (upwards)
with no metal barrier or shield.
5.2.2. Recommended installation positions are
5.2.2.1. Front windshield below the dashboard
5.2.2.2. Front Panel around the shadow
5.2.2.3. Rear Window below the dashboard
5.2.3. Concealed installation of device is recommended to avoid tampering
5.2.4. Avoid installation / placement of device close to an RF source, such as reve rsing radar,
alarm or other vehicle communication equipment
5.2.5. Wire ties or wide sponge strength double-faced adhesive tape can be used to fix the
device

5.3. 4-Pin Relay Connection


5.3.1. Connect Terminal 85 of the Relay to the Vehicle Battery Positive (12-24V)
5.3.2. Connect Terminal 86 of Relay to the device’s Yellow Wire (Fuel Cut Off)
5.3.3. Cut the Ignition/Fuel pump wire. Connect the wire on the positive side to Terminal 87a of
Relay. Connect the other end to Terminal 30 of Relay

Note: The Standard Relay is fit for installation on 12V car battery vehicles. If the battery of the
vehicle is 24V battery, you need to be use a 24V relay.

5.4. Device and 5-Pin Relay connection diagram


5.4.1. Terminal 86 and Terminal 87 of the Relay to be connected to the Vehicle Battery’s positive
12V pole
5.4.2. Terminal 85 of the Relay is connected to the Blue Wire (Car Locator) of the device
5.4.3. Cut off the vehicle’s indicator light’s wires and connect one side to Terminal 87a of the
Relay. Connect the other side Terminal 30 of the Relay

6. Configuration via SMS


6.1. If using a service platform, please login on this website: http://vehicletrack.biz
6.2. All of the following commands must be lowercase letters only. All of the commands sent will
receive a reply. If configuration is successful you will receive the respective success message.
Otherwise, the configuration command needs to be sent again. List of commands and their
responses below:
6.2.1. Set Center Number
If you want to use SMSes to set the device’s working parameters or to control the
device, you must first set the center number. Device will only accept SMS commands
from the center number. Later, if SOS number is also configured, device can accept
commands from SOS phone number too. It is recommended to set your mobile phone
number as the center number. In order to ensure the safety of users, you must use a
password to set the center number. The initial password is “123456” which can be
modified later
The center number set command:
Command: pw,123456,center,00000000000#
Example: pw,123456,center,9829012345#
Success Message: Master command set successfully!
Failure Message: "The password is wrong!"
Note: you can only set one service center number.
6.2.2. Delete Service Center Number
Command: pw,123456,center,d#
Success Message: “Center number has been deleted!”
6.2.3. Modify Password
Default password is 123456
Command: pw: new password (6 digits)#
Example: pw,888888#
Success Message: "password success! Password for 888888".
Failure Message: "Password format error!"
6.2.4. Inquire Parameter Settings
Command: check#
Example: check#
Reply Message: SN:1234567890; IP:107.6.166.198;
PORT: 3115; interval upload:30 s; sleep:10 s; alarm:10 s
Description
SN: 1234567890 -- Imei Number
IP: 107.6.166.198, PORT:3115 -- Server IP and port
Interval upload:30 s - GPRS Data upload interval, default is 30s
sleep:10 s- Working time before device enters sleep mode, default is 10min. If it is 0,
device does not enter sleep mode.
alarm:10 s - Auto prevent theft delay time, default is 10min.
6.2.5. Modify Interval Time of GPRS Data Upload
Command: upload, time (in seconds) #
Example: upload,15#
Reply Message:” Set success! Upload time is 15s”
The interval time of GPRS data upload can be set to between 10s and 18000s.The
default setting is 30s.
6.2.6. Restart device
Command: reset#
Example: reset#
When the device received the command, it will restore factory settings and restart after
1 min

6.3. Location check


6.3.1. Get address by SMS from server
Command: where#
This function needs server support. If server support is absent, please ignore.
If GPS fixed, the device will reply with current location.
If GPS not fixed, the device replies: "unable to get the correct GPS data, please try
again!"
6.3.2. Get location on Google map by SMS
Command: url#
If GPS fixed, the device reply with Google map’s location link
If GPS not fixed, the device replies: "Not fixed, the last fixed location is Google map’s
location link"
You can open the Google map link to get the location of the device provided your
mobile can connect to the Internet

6.4. Alarm setting and Vehicle’s Oil or Power Cut Off


By default power disconnection and motion alarm are off on SMS, device will send
alarm on server.
To set alarm via SMS, send this command to the device
Command: sms,x#
X = 1: Turn on alarm
X = 0: Turn off alarm
6.4.1. Cut Off vehicle’s oil or power
To cut off vehicle’s oil or power via SMS
Command: relay,x#
X = 1: Cut off the vehicle’s oil or power success
X = 0: Recover the vehicle’s oil or power
6.4.2. Car Locator Alarm
To locate your vehicle via SMS
Command: find:x#
X = 1: find alarm is ON
X = 0: find alarm is OFF
If Alarm deactivation command is not sent to the device, the alarm will auto switch off
after 15 minutes.
6.4.3. Alarm for cut off of outside power
If the outside power is cut off, the device will trigger the power cut off alarm. The device
will send alarm message and latitude and longitude to the service platform. The device
will also send alarm message and latitude and longitude to the center number via SMS
and call the center number. The device will call the center number upto 6 times if the
earlier calls aren’t answered.
