Title: Animal Habitat Video/Project

• Relevant SC Standards: 2-2.2. Classify animals (including mammals, birds,

amphibians, reptiles, fish, and insects) according to their physical characteristics. 73

Description: This app lesson will develop 2nd grade students’ animal habitat and
characteristics understanding.

Instructional Objective: Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of

animals based on their characteristics and environment.

Step 1 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will use wevideo to create a 2-

minute video on the animal habitat and characteristic that is assigned to the group.

Step 2 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will be able to edit their video

using wevideo on a school provided laptop or tablet.

Step 3 Creation-Based (Learning Artifact) or Skill-Based App (Screenshot of

Progress): Students will be turning in their assignment/video on google classroom by
the end of the school day on Friday.
