Questions:

1. Describe your own Sexual Selfhood

Sexuality and the development of sexual selfhood is a development
that can occur during adolescence. Sexual selfhood is also known as the
sexual self-concept. Developing a sexual self-concept is an important
developmental task of adolescence; however, little empirical evidence
describes this development, nor how these changes are related to
development in sexual behavior. Peers, friends, and others have merely
influenced and discovered things that we are likely unaware of. Our
surroundings, as well as those around us will have a significant impact on
our understanding of sexual selfhood. As individuals, we must understand
sexuality to make sound decisions in our lives. We must choose activities
that make us happy and content.

2. What are the changes in your body that lead to your discovery of sexual
self?
I've never been aware of the changes taking place in my own body. As a
child, I spent most of my time playing with my friends and cousins. But as I
get older, our environment, particularly our parents, will teach us about
things that will enlighten us about our sexual selves. For example, for girls
like me, the stages when we need to experience "menstruation" will result in
so many changes in our body that are only normal when we become
teenagers. Also, changes in my physical self such as height and weight,
breast development, body hair, and wide hips. With all of these changes, I
can say that I am now a woman who is strong enough to handle everything
and make decisions that I know will lead me to happiness and the right path.
