1. Relevancy: The relevancy of this specific article to my research paper pertaining bullying is it covering
the topic of how poor psychosocial working environments can potentially create bullying. This is a great
source because it tells you about an actual study that was done and shows the results so you can really
dictate what parts you want to use. This also covers my topic of environment and how that can link with
bullying.
2. Accuracy: In this specific source I do not detect any biases. Since it is a study that was conducted using
statistics and real situations there is not a bias.
3. Currency: This source is close to 13 years old and has not been updated or adjusted. Since it was a
study that was conducted there is not any way to adjust and make the information more relevant unless
they conduct an other study.
4. Authority: Agervold, Mogens is the main conductor of this study and of the article. He is a professor at
the University of Aarhus and lectures in the Department of Psychology.
5. Purpose: This study was conducted so they can learn and identify if bullying can have an effect on the
environment and if the environment can have an effect on bullying. By doing this study they were able
to identify that environment can often cause bullying and by learning this they are able to share
awareness in hope that this can reduce the number of bullying incidences that happen in both school and
work environments.
6. Rating: Overall I would give this a 4 out of 5 if I had to rate it. All of the information was strong and
reliable however the data and the study is slightly dated. I think if the information was more recent it
would make it a 5 out of 5. I also can use this to support a lot of my research in this paper about bullying
however it can only help in small specific arguments and aspects.

1. Relevancy: This article talks a lot about how an unhealthy home life can sometimes create tendencies
and provoke bullying in many cases. This is extremely relevant to my research paper because one of my
topics I want to cover is how domestic violence and neglect can reflect in a child and how that can shape
them and wire their brain to think that that is normal. In a lot of cases this is the main cause for a lot of
bullying.
2. Accuracy: The bias that is naturally present is that it focuses on the bully and tries to help people better
understand that it may not be directly their fault. It covers how they may have PTSD or Physical and or
psychological abuse that can often play a huge role in how a child then turns around and portrays
themselves to others.
3. Currency: This source is barely over 2 years old. This is extremely current that they did this study and
this research however I am sure it can be updated and make the source even stronger than it is now.
4. Authority: This article has many different individual authors who all came together and wrote this. The
article was published by journal of family violence and is wrote by six extremely educated individuals.
5. Purpose: The purpose of this article is to see and understand the other side of bullying and bring
awareness to that side to try and prevent it before it even becomes a problem for the child. It also wants
to shine light on how important it can be to grow up in a good healthy environment, and how much a
child’s home life and environment can help shape their future and the person they ultimately become.
6. Rating: I would honestly give this article a 5 out of 5 if I had to rate it. It covers a lot of topics I would
like to talk about in my final paper. The information itself is also current and relevant. Above all I think
it is very well thought out and researched and I think it shows the how although we depict the bully as
the bad guy there is often more to the story then we see at first sight.

1. Relevancy: This article talks a lot about victims and the long lasting effects that bullying can have on an
induvial. This is extremely relevant to my topic and to my final paper because I want to talk about
Victimology and how bullying can later in life mess with a persons social psychology as they grow up.
This article covers a lot of long lasting affects a person can have if they had been bullied for a long
period of time and it covers the different ranges of severity and how you can pick out the signs to help if
someone needs it.
2. Accuracy: The bias that is naturally present is the side of the victim when it comes to bullying. This
article focuses on how victimology can change a person and portrays the bully as a terrible person
before looking into their past situations and seeing both sides of the situations. Granted bullying is never
ok it can easily bounce between who needs help in the situation the victim or the bully itself.
3. Currency: This article is the 1st edition and was published in 2004. This means the information is
extremely dated and is 18 years old at this point. I feel they do need to update the information to make
sure it is accurate.
4. Authority: The main writer of this article is Furlong, Michael and it was edited by Charles Donald
Spielberger. The source itself in on CREDO references.
5. Purpose: The article was published to shine light on bullying and abuse in schools or on campuses.
They want people to understand what long term effects bullying can have on a person and they want to
inform people of how severe the affects can be. There hope is to stop people from ever thinking about
bullying when they read and understand how much that can destroy a victim or a person who has
experienced any form of bullying.
6. Rating: Overall I would give this source a 3 out of 5. The information is good however it is extremely
dated. It also does not give me a lot to work with on my paper other than victimization. I feel I can find
a more helpful and more current article.

1. Relevancy: This article specifically talks about what bullying can look like in the workplace
environment. This is extremely helpful for me because I want to talk about workplace bullying and how
there are many different forms at which that can come at. One way of which I would like to cover is
causes and signs of workplace bullying and it informs the reader of how that can look different than
traditional school bullies or even cyberbullying.
2. Accuracy: The bias in this article does not really present itself. There is no clear detectable bias since
they are informing you of workplace bullying and educating you on how that can start and how that can
look.
3. Currency: This source is the 1st edition and was published in 2020. This makes this article recent and
published within the last two years making the information up to date.
4. Authority: Biglia, Barbara and Patsili, Toledo were the two people who wrote this article and
researched this article . The article was edited by David Miriam and Marilyn Amey. It is with the
Encyclopedia od Higher Education and is found on CREDO References.
5. Purpose: This source was published and wrote to help people identify that bullying can happen in any
environment. Bullying does not just happen within schools. This is extremely important because it helps
you discover signs of bullying in the workplace and it allows you to address the problem before it spirals
out of control.
6. Rating: Overall I would give this source a 4 out of 5. It is current which means the information is up to
date and accurate. It also covers my topic of workplace bullying that I want to cover. My only problem
with this article is that it is not very long so the information I can pull from it is limited a significant
amount compared to other sources.

1. Relevancy: This book talks about cyberbullying and bullying and shows you both the severity and the
similarities and differences between the two forms of bullying. The article also talks about victimization
which is an other topic I am covering in my paper. It covers many different aspects that I would love to
talk about in my paper which makes it extremely relevant.
2. Accuracy: There is not much of a bias I feel the two authors clash well together. One sides with one
side while the other sides with they other side so you don’t get much of a bias and see a lot of different
takes on the subject.
3. Currency: This source was published in 2016 so although it may be a little old that is pretty current for
a book since it can take years to get it published in the first place and it was published in Hauppauge,
N.Y.
4. Authority: the authors of this book are Mc Guckin, Conor Corcoran, Lucie. She is a Associate professor
in education. Graduated from the university of Ulster and she is a psychologist with the British
Psychological Society.
5. Purpose: This book was written to shine light to cyberbullying and bullying. It covers a lot of
information comparing the two and showing how although they are similar they are not the same. This
shows the damage bullying can have on a person and educates people on what to do to stop this and
what to do if they are in this situation.
6. Rating: Overall I would give this source a 5 out of 5. It has a lot of relevant information and it covers
many topics I would love to cover in my final paper. It is fairly current and is also wrote by a highly
educated individual who has done the research and knows what she is talking about
