Being a startup, our first priority was to look after our budget, because we cannot

spend irrationally due to lack of funds

Our first task before going into vendor selection was to list out the key
requirements for each type of BI and then look for top Vendors in market.
We have listed out 5-6 key requirements in each BI.

Then we scored, each vendor upon those requirements specifically. This scoring was
done on the basis of online ratings, reviews and resources.

Also, we referred to each company's policies and how they suit us or not.

At the end, we have taken an average final score, which is heatmapped showcasing
the vendors.

Different colors showcase the variation and highest and lowest performer with green
and red colour respectively and average performers with a color variation of both
colors.

So, our first criteria for selecting a BI Vendor was affordability.


We went for vendors that were providing us what we needed at a minimal cost and
hence helped us keep our budget in check.
Next on, when we were satisfied with the pricing of all the vendors in our list, we
looked for scoring that we have done prior
in vendor analysis and comparison.
We went for the Vendor with the highest score and also the vendor with high score
on our important key requirements specifically.
