A Facebook page called "Marcos Latta" uploaded several images alleging that

presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. visited various regions

hit by typhoons to aid and provide relief materials throughout the years. The page
also claimed in the caption of the post that "Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is
always helping, it's just that he has low exposure on mainstream media" and that
"citizens should start fact-checking to see that a true leader helps and works in
silence but with a sincere and dedicated heart." The post included images that
were incorrectly tagged to suggest that Bongbong Marcos was present during
relief efforts after natural disasters. However, fact-checking revealed that a photo
of Bongbong hugging an old woman classified as a relief providing operation in
September 2009 following Typhoon Ondoy was shot in December 2009 during
Barangay Tatalon's 49th Foundation Day Celebration in Quezon City. Another
photo the ost was ostensible of Bongbong distributing supplies to another elderly
woman following the typhoon Glenda in July 2014, however it was taken on
December 21, 2015, at a "Relief-Giving" during the Christmas season. These two
photos were added to increase the number of cases where Marcos was seen
providing assistance and participating in relief efforts on the ground; the page
owner may or may not be aware that they are false but the two photos can be
found on Bongbong Marcos' website and Twitter account, respectively. Because
the page owner is a BBM fan, the inclusion of the two irrelevant images may be
intended to demonstrate to the public that He has accomplished more than the
other presidential contenders. The one thing they did right in their caption was to
double-check the facts before passing judgment or being misled by something.
