Document Development Exposition: Workplace Correspondence

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
This assignment overall was difficult for me. I didn’t quite understand who I was writing to. But going
based off what I understood, it wasn’t hard to plan once I decided on who I was writing to.

First Draft (for peer editing)

Writing the email was easy, due to me writing emails often. I did encounter challenges with the
memo since I never wrote one before.

Second Draft (for your packet)

With the comments from my peers, I was able to understand a little better. I added my issue in my
email, structured my email a little more, and edit my memo so it wasn’t as similar to my email.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

I gained all understanding once I received feedback from my professor. I understood who I was
writing to, which allowed me to change my whole packet. I then began writing about a different topic
and to a different audience.
