Edpuzzle

• By: Ciara Springman

• Edpuzzle is an easy-to-use platform allowing you to
engage every student, one video at a time. Most
students are visual learners and even more watch
YouTube, that is why we created Edpuzzle to track
and monitor the educational videos students are
watching.
• Free
• As someone who is most certainly a visual learner,
this program would greatly bene t my students with
the wide variety of material that Edpuzzle has to
o er. I really appreciate the way you are able to
monitor the videos being consumed by the students
so they are unable to take advantage of this
software. It is extremely important to validate all
students and their preferred ways of learning and
this program does exactly that.

Book Creator
By: Itzi Garcia Contreras
• Its published intended use: Education is changing. Bring
creativity to your classroom with Book Creator, the one app
you need for any subject or grade level.
• Fee structure: (ex: free?, monthly?, yearly?, lifetime?,
enterprise/site licenses?)
• Free, upgrades cost money.
• Ways you can see it tting into the K-12 curriculum:
• Book Creator is like Pixton, but it does not have the avatar
option. It allows teachers to create books or use books from
other educators’ “libraries, add them to their own libraries,
and share them with their students. Book Creator gives
teachers the opportunity to create any book they need for
their classroom. It includes options such as text, images,
drawing tools, import options, etc. that can make the process
of creating a book a lot more simple. There is a maximum of
40 books allowed, which may force the teacher to limit their
collection. These books can be shared with students by
inviting them to join their teacher's Book Creator "library."

Quizizz
By: Ciara Sringman
• An engaging platform that can be used from any
device. Join activities, quizzes, and lesson plans or
create your own. This software can be used in
class, group assignments, pre-test review,
assessments, and quizzes all with instant
feedback.
• Free
• Quizizz was one of my favorite programs during
high school due to its creativity and easy use. Not
only are you able to create your own assignments
with this software, but you are able to interact and
share others'. Quizizz o ers a broad spectrum to
choose from whether it is refreshers or test
preparation. I would love to have those students
who need extra time or help on a speci c topic that
most of the kids seem to understand, take quizzes
and practice until they feel they are up to speed.

Spelling City
By: Ramzie Nielson
• Intended Use: VocabularySpellingCity was initially
created to save teachers time by automating spelling
practice tests and to empower students to study
independently through engaging game-based learning
activities. Now part of the LearningCity® family of
education technology products, nearly a decade later,
VocabularySpellingCity has expanded to include a wide
variety of study tools for developing strong vocabulary
skills and best practices for e ective vocabulary word
instruction. Research has proven that these are key
factors in improved reading uency and comprehension.
• Fee Structure: Free

• How it ts: This would work very well to help students

develop their vocabulary and spelling skills. The software
is interactive, giving students the ability to edit an avatar
when they do well. They have many games to make
spelling and reading more fun. When I was in school I
loved to do games online. It made learning more fun and
helped me develop new skills.

Wheel of names
• By: Kayla Wingert
• Wheel of names is free and easy to use
spinner. Used by teachers and for ra es. Enter
names and spin the wheel to pick a random
winner.
• Free product
• Wheel of names would be a great tool to use to
create a random group for a project. This
website would be good for any age group
between K-12. This would allow the teacher to
show their students that everything was
random, no favorites were picked and would
give the students an opportunity to work with
other students rather than just their friends.
This also would be a good tool to vote on ideas
for a classroom such as whether to read a
certain book or maybe watch a certain movie.

whiteboard.fi
• By: Samuel Gomez
• Whiteboard. is a simple tool that can be used instantly. Create a
class and let your students join, using a link, room code or QR code.
Everyone will get an individual digital whiteboard, where they can
draw, write text, make notations on images, add math equations, and
more! You as a teacher see all your students' whiteboards in real time,
so you can follow their progress, while the students only see their own
whiteboard and the teacher's.

Whiteboard. is an instant formative assessment tool for your
classroom, providing you with live feedback and immediate overview
over your students. Engage your whole class, include every student
and let everybody answer - including the shy students or students
who normally wouldn't bother to answer!
• Free and ad-supported with limited, short-term usage, $4.99/month
for ad removal assignment and PDF tools, $12.99/month for
permanent links and more involved tools.
• I personally remember an online drawing pad app I played with some
friends on, this tool sounds a lot like an online teaching version of this
tool. I am biased as a digital artist, but I really like the concept of a
shared whiteboard tool that students can have a level of engagement
with, providing an open, online classroom while retaining an
appropriate level of privacy between students. I can see myself using
this tool in several di erent kinds of online lessons, while being able to
provide active help for my students.

Night Zookeper
By: Melanie Morales
• Night Zookeeper is a children's brand helping
kids worldwide unlock their creativity.

• $12.99 a month for a child to use this

website

• Night zookeeper allows children to create

their own stories. The biggest thing that
students will use is their imagination to
create these stories. It will be helpful to
repeatedly use their website/app because it
will improve their writing skills. Anyone can
leave a comment as well just like we do in
this classroom which can also help improve
writing skills. Additionally, asking questions
lets all students know that it is okay not to
understand something or simply want
clari cation.

Desmos
By: Alyssia Valdez
• "Desmos wants to build a world where
every student learns math and loves
learning math, where a student’s access
to the power and beauty of math doesn't
depend on their place of birth, race,
ethnicity, gender, or any other aspect of
their identity.”
• Desmos is free to use !
• During the pandemic last year I used
Desmos a lot to help me draw graphs. It
was super helpful and made my math
class a lot easier. I can see myself using
desmos in the classroom by allowing
students to check their graphs through
desmos. Desmos is amazing when it
comes to checking your work. It can also
be used for di erent areas in math since
it has multiple types of calculators. 11
