Artifact Description: To use a drawing program to make a label matching the design of a
Campbells can soup, but to represent a city or town. Whilst putting certain dimension to match
the can’s size, make a UPC codes using the skills learned before, and a creative “ingredients”
section to describe said town or city.

What You Learned: When starting the project, I had trouble how to adjust the dimensions of
the slide. After a while of searching, I discovered how to adjust the slides to the correct
dimensions I needed. I copy and pasted some images from my searches to make the label more
intriguing and eye catching and to represent what I know from Los Angeles. I learned how to
make the text boxes more interesting, showing it more fluid compared to flat if it was horizontal.
When making the table I had difficulty since I saw it more difficult and time consuming to make.
I saw an option to make a table with adjustable columns and rows, making it easier to input the
information. Making the UPC code was easy as after making 4 lines I duplicated them and
adjusted the point size easily, resembling a real UPC.

ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for STUDENTS (NETS)•S Addressed:

1.6.d Students publish or present content that customizes the message and medium for their
intended audiences.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: To make this project more interesting, I would
allow any subject to be allowed that can be presented so students can be more passionate about
it. It does allow students to use information they themselves are knowledgeable of, the only
restriction would be the dimensions. Just in general, students are going to gain more information
on how to utilize the tools that are on PowerPoint. They can learn that PowerPoint has a lot more
tools than fonts and background, but also shapes and special tools that can make a slide more
vivid.
